The ABBA story began in Sweden, more than five decades ago. Björn met Benny and wrote their first songs together. Later, they met the two women who were to become not only their fiancées but also the other half of ABBA. Agnetha had been a successful solo singer. Anni-Frid started her recording career shortly after Agnetha. Ann-Frid was of Norwegian origin, but had moved to Sweden at a very early age. The name ABBA is an acronym of their first names. 

Tim Bergling (September 8^th 1989 – April 20^th 2018), known professionally as Avicii, was a Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer. At age 16, he began posting his remixes on electronic music forums, which led to his first record deal. He rose to prominence in 2011 with his single Levels.

Bergling retired from touring in 2016, after several years of stress and poor mental health. In 2018, he died by suicide while on holiday in Muscat, Oman. His third and final album, Tim, was released posthumously in 2019. 

The rise to stardom for the backstreet boys began in highschool after Nick Carter, Howie Dourough and AJ McLean ran into each other during local auditions that were held in Orlando. The Backstreet Boys started in 1996 with the international release of their debut self-titled album. The sound of the Backstreet boys is made up of a mix of hip-hop, R&B, ballads, and dance-pop. 

In May 2018, Backstreet released "Don't go breaking my heart" as the lead single of their ninth studio album which received a grammy nomination in 2019, showing that hey're still going strong. 

 
The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The core lineup of the band comprised John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They are widely regarded as the most influential band of all time and were integral to the development of the recognition of popular music as an art form. Led by primary songwriters Lennon & McCartney, the Beatles evolved and their popularity grew into the intense fan frenzy dubbed the “Beatlemania”.

Ed Sheeran was born on February 17, 1991, in Halifax, West Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom. When he was young, he began playing guitar, showing early promise as a musical talent. When he was 11, Sheeran met singer-songwriter Damien Rice backstage at one of Rice’s shows, and the young musician found added inspiration. As the story goes, Rice told Sheeran to write his own music, and Sheeran set out the next day to do just that.

Jessie J was born Jessica Ellen Cornish in Redbridge, London, on March 276, 1988. She went to Collins Performing Arts School as a child. When she was 17 she joined a girl group and soon after was signed as a solo artist.  When Jessie’s first record deal didn’t pan out, she turned to song writing and got herself a contract with Sony TV where she started writing songs for Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Alicia Keys. Her biggest song writing hit was Miley Cyrus’ song Party in the USA. 

 Michael Jackson was known as the "King of Pop". He was a best-selling singer, songwriter and dancer. As a child, Michael became the lead singer of his family's popular Motown group, the Jackson 5. He went on to a solo career of astonishing worldwide success, delivering No. 1 hits from the albums Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad. The album Thriller remains one of the best-selling albums in history. In his later years, Michael was dogged by false allegations of child molestation. The 13-time Grammy Award winner died in 2009 at age 50 of a drug overdose, just before launching a comeback tour. 

Rastafari is an Abrahamic religion that developed in Jamaica during the 1930s. It is classified as both a new religious movement and a social movement. Rastafari music is called "Reggae".

There is no central authority in control of the movement and much diversity exists among practitioners, who are known as Rastafari or Rastas. The principal ritual of the Rastas is the smoking of Ganja, also known as cannabis. Cannabis is usually smoked during groundings. Not all Rastas use Ganja. Abstainers explain they have already achieved a higher level of consciousness, hence they do not require it.

Reggae is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s. Reggae is rooted out from traditional Jamaican Kumina, Pukkumina, Revival Zion. Nyabinghi, and burru drumming. Jamaican reggae music evolved out of the earlier genres mento, ska and rocksteady. Reggae usually relates news, social gossip and political commentary.
